The Labrador or Labrador retriever, is the smartest dog in the world. Their nature is very calm and loving. They are completely devoted to their family and have a feeling of love.

It is very friendly and courteous towards children and other pets, which is why it is known as an excellent family dog in India.

Color and Size

Dogs of this breed are large in size, the weight of an adult male Labrador is about 29-36 kg and the weight of a female Labrador is 25-32 kg. Their height is about 55-62 cm and they can run at a speed of about 20-30 km /hour.

Labrador’s hair is thick, short and very soft. The coat of Labrador dog hair is water resistant, which protects them from the cold.

Their legs are also thick and heavy and their tail is thin, straight and of medium size, their head is of medium size and the ears are V-shaped, sticking to the cheeks. Food and Health

It is very important for a progressive Labrador to get the best quality dog food balanced and full of nutrients, which is very important from the point of view of its health. You can give them both veg and non-veg in food.

If we talk about their health, although Labrador is a healthy breed, but like other breeds, it has some genetic problems from birth.

Labradors suffer from elbow and hip dysplasia, although it is very rare, but if not taken care at the time of delivery, this case can also be serious.

Training

Training is very important for any breed of dog. It makes them civilized, disciplined, obedient and organized. Dogs of this breed are very good learners, they are very easy to train as compared to other breeds.

The price of a Labrador puppy in India starts from Rs 5000-6000 which can go up to Rs 1 lakh. The price depends on the quality of the breed and the pedigree combination.
