All human posses the natural ability to run on their feet, sprinters take this to another level. The top speed of an incredibly Olympic sprinter can reach up to 40 kmph fast. Sprint events have traditionally been an exciting affair during any sporting meet and as such they are still pretty popular. The best sprinters are treated as a sports icon worldwide and are a subject to much media scrutiny.

Usain Bolt (Jamaica) –  9.58 seconds
