There are many very mysterious places in the world. Many of them are very beautiful which fascinate people’s mind. Although some places are dangerous too. People are scared to go to these places.
One such mysterious place is Death Valley, which is located in a desert in Eastern California. It is the hottest, driest and strangest place in North America.
The structure and temperature of California’s Death Valley has always been surprising to everyone. But the most strange thing about this place is that here the stones automatically move from one place to another.
Which are also known as Selling Stones. Stones up to at least 320 kg have been seen changing their places in this area, why does this happen? It still remains a mystery.
Even NASA has not been able to find out the secret behind the sliding of these stones. This place is spread 1.25 miles from east to west and 2.5 miles from north to south.
There are about 100 stones at this place which keep sliding on their own but the interesting thing is that no one has seen these stones moving. Over the years, these stones are found shifted about 300 meters away from their place.
Everyone has different facts behind the sliding stones.
To solve this mystery in 1972, a team of scientists studied these stones for seven years.
The team of scientists studied a 317 kg stone but it did not move at all during the study. But after a few years when the returned to the same place, they found it about 1 kilometer away.
Scientists derived the result of this mystery that due to the high speed winds, the stones move on their own.
On the other hand, some people believe that all this happens due to supernatural powers. After extensive research, geologists from the Complutense University of Spain had attributed this to the microbes present in the soil of this place.
Microbes cyanobacteria are single celled algae, due to which greasy substance and gas are produced at the bottom of the lake.
Because of which it is difficult to get hold of. Scientists believe that due to the strong wind in the cold weather on this smooth surface, these stones move from their place.
