    Product description

Om Craft villa is one stop centre of India's Handicrafts. Although it originated in ancient Persia, the art of blue pottery was brought to the craftsmen of Jaipur in the early 18th century. Blue pottery derives its name from the distinct use of Persian blue color. The history of pot manufacturing can be said to be as old human civilisation itself. The unique process and use of materials, makes Jaipur Blue Pottery rare in the world, but also make it extremely fragile and delicate .The human beings, in whatever stage of civilisation, had always needed some sort of pots for eating, drinking or preserving. This blue pottery sugar pot will add some uniqueness in your kitchen. Our products are unique and beautiful crafts of India that fits well as Gifts and as Home Decor. The Blue Pottery's origin lies in Iran. If is from there that it gradually spread towards Delhi and Agra through Afghanistan. But presently, seems no comparison of Jaipur Blue Pottery with any other place in the entire word. The credit for development of this art in Jaipur goes to its erstwhile ruler Sawai Ram Singh -II (1835-1880). For about 100 years, the art of Blue Pottery Continued to flourish here. But thereafter, for reasons unknown, this art gradually vanished its entirety.
