Magee graduated from\u00a0Upper Iowa University\u00a0in 1896.\u00a0Magee founded the\u00a0Magee’s Independent<\/i>\u00a0in 1922, which would change its name to the\u00a0New Mexico State Tribune<\/i>\u00a0in 1923 and to the\u00a0Albuquerque Tribune<\/i>\u00a0in 1933. The Tribune became defunct in 2008. Magee was important in bringing the\u00a0Teapot Dome Scandal\u00a0to the fore.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
