The show was on for 9 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1961<\/strong> &#8211; Antonio Abertondo swam the English Channel (in both directions) in 24 hours and 25 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1964<\/strong> &#8211; Malta gained independence from Britain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1966<\/strong> &#8211; The Soviet probe&nbsp;<i>Zond 5<\/i>&nbsp;returned to Earth. The spacecraft completed the first unmanned round-trip flight to the moon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1970<\/strong> &#8211; &#8220;NFL Monday Night Football&#8221; made its debut on ABC-TV. The game was between the Cleveland Browns and the New York Jets.
